curtins
this is really bogging me down. I guess I'm the only one that wanted to meet and make freinds the normal way, not through having sex with my clothes on. And you know as for us that were sitting down the whole time, not taking part in it, like I said they had the older dudes come over with an older girl to try and get us to "dance" with her. Like I said one of the kids got pulled in. Is that how this school welcomes its freshman? I feel really alone and like I wanted to meet a bunch of cool new people in high school and then I see this. I'm deffinatly gonna write a letter to the preist of the school and possibly after that, maybe the bishop. I'll post the drafts here to get them good. Thanks all
shelly_freak
Dude! Trust us, that's the way high school is. I think if you really wanna meet some cool people with the same types of interests as you you should go join some clubs. In highschool I did theater crew so I was friends with all the thespians which was fun and I also did snowball which was an anti drinking club that did diffrent things during the year such as a skit before prom about what could happen if you drank at prom and then drived home. That's really the best way to meet people you'll like cause they have the same interests as you and sometimes even the same morals as you. Good luck though. Luthien
Seems that shocking people is what these teens wanted to do. They want to "show" people these things so they can be responsible for showing you what the "real world" is like. They have no value for sexuality, no respect whatsoever. If they knew the beauty of sexuality, then they wouldn't dare abuse it with what they call "dancing" Thats not dancing, thats dry humping. Ive been to high school dances. Ive been to youth ministry dances. There is little difference between how these kids act. I was made fun of once at a YM dance because I refused to dance in a slutty way. I didn't understand why me not dancing like a stripper made me a dork. You know what? I didnt comprimise my purity to please these people. I say, bring back ballroom dancing! Old_Joe
I had a friend who was surprised to hear that these things went on in a Catholic High school. The first thing you have to remember is that it a highschool. It just happens to be faith based.
Totus Tuus
You need to get out of that school if at all possible. I'm serious. Satan is having his way and you can't be part of it if there is any way to get out. And yes, TALK TO THE PRIEST. That is just grotesque and EVIL. Cathurian
curtins, You've got a really strong sense of right and wrong -- most people wouldn't be able to be as strong as you were in such great temptation. Good job man! That's really horrible and you and your school have got prayers.

littleflower+JMJ
Bull. I am a chaperone at Catholic dances and that does NOT happen when I am there.
exactly. that should not be happening. these kids can control themselves if someone just enforced it. its a school dance, not a club. if you dont have the manpower of adults to hold it down, then as a catholic school you should not be having dances. someone needs to straighten that out. im really sorry you had to go through that curtains. i would expect something like this from public school, which is why i never went to them. stay strong and know that you are not the only one who thinks that its wrong. i bet alot of those kids didn't want to but for the sake of fitting in they did. sad, sad. Piccoli Fiori JMJ
The things about youth were things like this are not enforced at home, a stranger will not be able to enforce this on them... Sure, they'll listen while you are around, but other than that, they won't. I think there is some fault with the parents for not encouraging and fostering purity at home... I've sat back and watched this all happen all through out my years in youth ministry, I'm quite sad that I was not able to help make any changes towards purity within the group. Not all schools are like that. Second of all, if it is possible for his parents I would say: homeschool him. Catholic homeschooling is one of the purest environments most kids can grow up in. Totus Tuus
idk maybe its shock. I just cant describe it im just at a loss of words. I feel the need to be in the presense of Jesus to know what I'm part of.
If you WEREN'T shocked, I would be worried about you, extremely worried. You are so right to feel the need to be purified by Jesus... to be in His presence... to want to do something about this.
Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
sspx schools are not like that at all.
Aloysius
do the SSPX even have schools? if so, have you been to them? have you attended any event they've held? spouting things off in ignorance sometimes leads to fruitful discussion. but sometimes, it's just irrelevant.
