Noel's angel
lol, yes, Body Odour. Nah, it was our PP and he was talking about an advertisement that used to be on TV and how it showed that when something is wrong, we should fix it, even when we are afraid that the person we are correcting would hate us and reject us for it. Then he talked about it in the context of the Church and contraception, and drugs. It was quite good actually
picchick
wow. BO? How did that fit in with the readings? For me it was love one another and that loving one another means correcting those who need it. Also if you have inner turmoil-you are not at peace with God, you cannot expect to be at peace with your neighbor.
Noel's angel
it was because the ad was for some sort of soap and one girl went up to her friend and whispered in her ear 'BO' and how, if we care for a person, we will try and help them and correct them, even if we fear they will reject us for it
Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
mine was about how people always wathched jesus in a judgmental way and how we should stop obssessing over the law of man and focus on the law of God and not to judge people. Cam42
is the same gospel read at the NOvus ordo and tridentine rites? or is it a different schedule?
They are different. I sincerely hope that you brow beat your father for falling asleep. That was incredibly uncharitable for him to act that way at Mass. How could he do that? Does he not understand the importance of what he was attending? It was the Holy Sacrifice. It was the re-presentation of Christ on Calvary. I hope that you were as hard on him as you are toward the people here. That was very un-Catholic of him to fall asleep. I am ashamed and saddened that you make light of a situation that is totally inappropriate. Whatever....do you now know how you sound on this board most of the time. I hope you learned something. the_rev
At High Mass today Fr. Moreau talked about diseases, and if Jesus wanted people to be cured on the sabbath, and of course he said he did, through the Eucharist!
dspen2005
my priest, who happens also to be the vicar of the monastery here... was speaking about abortion/gay marriage and other issues that pervade american culture and how these notions are results of society falling away from thinking as God thinks.... etc... and he said, "if I have offended anyone, then I am most pleased" -- IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
