If I'm really in a snit then I SAY "I wanna break something". Usually, if I'm really in a bad way I want to take the pain and transfer it away from my heartto another part of my body. I don't know, I guess I just feel that physical pain is easier to deal with than mental or emotional pain. I don't usually act out on this pain (except the pillow thing) but I will go to my friend or my spiritualdirector or my counsellor and work out whatever it is. Funky_R Posted September 6, 2005 Share Posted September 6, 2005 My anger usually builds up over time, and it unfortunately gets let out onto other people by my yelling. I've been working on not doing that anymore, and using alternative methods. I write a lot more than I used to, so I usually write a poem or just start saying words, even if it doesn't always make sense. I also listen to music and such.
