Gin and tonic (or 7 up) is a good one. It tastes like.. gin and tonic, a little lime-y. If you don't know what Gin tastes like I'm afraid I can't describe it any better than that!

Vodka and cranberry juice is also really good. It tastes like Cranberry juice with a swift KICK. hehe

My first legal drink was a Tom Collins. (Its usually made with gin, lemon juice, tonic, and a little sugar).

There are a multitude of awesome drinks out there to try. Take your time. lol

Oh, and DO NOT try a Cosmopolitan unless you are at a really good bar or restaraunt that knows how to make them. If made wrong they taste like carp.

If you get a gin and tonic, you should be sure to get Tangueray (a brand of gin) Bombay isn't too bad either, but I once forgot to specifiy and it was the worst G&T I've ever had. :pinch:

G&T's are my summer drink; in the winter, I like a Russian Quallude (not sure how to spell that), which is Bailey's, Frangelico, and vodka.

And Iceprincess is right about the cosmos -- not everyone knows how to make a good one.

Gin or vodka with any kind of juice is generally pretty good.

For beer ... I like Newcastle, Guinness, Harp. I can't stand most major American brews, although there are some great microbrews out there. I do have to say, though, that the first time I tried beer I didn't like it at all. I've since worked my way up to it. Mmm.

How about seeing how many days past your birthday you can go without drinking and offering the sacrifice up?

I'm partial to sex on the beach myself. It's made from cranberry juice, vodka or grenadine, and other fruit juices. But not too sweet.

My recipe for Sex on the Beach calls for melon liqueur, raspberry liqueur, vodka, and pineapple juice.....
