Gas prices

I just payed 2.93 and filled up 3/4 my tank (I had 1/4 in there) and that was almost too much for me to handle. It was definatly the cheapest gas in town and you could tell. I waited 10 minutes for a pump. People are bringing anything and everything to fill with gas. This is just insanity!

I sure wish there was a way the added costs could at least make a diffrence where Katrina hit.

My aunt just called and said that a gas station owner said it was going to go up into the 3 dollar range in st. louis this evening, and possibly into the 4 dollar range this weekend.

We're taking my sister up to college in Chicago this weekend, and my parents are definitely not looking forward to what the prices will look like in Chicago since they are always at least 50 cents higher than St. Louis.

Takes me 25-30 minutes to get to school and now that I'm taking another class that's 5 times a week. Then I work 4 nights a week but luckly that's like a mile and a half so that's not too bad.

Ugh, maybe I'll just call in sick and sit at home and cry.

And that my friends is why I thank God every day that I don't live in Chicago (although if I did live in Chi-town I prolly wouldn't drive so this wouldn't matter to me at all)

Anyone else remember when gas was under a dollar a gallon? I feel old. And I'm only 20. Well, my next car will run on E85. I *think* that stuff (85% ethanol, rest gas) is about $1.89. In the past, it would go up the same amount that regular gas would go up, despite all the additonal ethanol.

Do other states have a discount for 10% ethanol enriched fuel? We have a penny/gallon discount for it (all about supporting local farmers). In South Dakota, its aobut 5 cents cheaper per gallon, if I remember correctly.
