Jazz4jesus
ok i know this is serious, i am one of the people that is taking this hurricane really serious. but i just had a thought to lighten the stress I WANT TO GO TO THE BEACH! no really think about it if your here in Texas you are fair ways away from the storm but not too far that you wont recieve the waves from this thing. Really we have a category 5 (pray for safety of those still in NO and homes of all) the size of Louisiana (about that size)(once again pray) how could we not get waves over here, for once we would get waves. not like any of us know how to surf them since we never had them but we could body surf. Just to lighten the stress. lots of stress is not good for us you know. Laughter is healing. Edited August 28, 2005 by Jazz4jesus
StColette
I agree Jazz, we gotta keep a little lighthearted. A friend of mine just told me that all of this is like a sci-fi movie
DojoGrant
Like a sci-fi movie, except it's for real. They are saying 225,000-775,000 people could be displaced and homeless until the city is inhabitable again.

scardella
I'm just hoping for a place to go back to, myself. This looks like it's gonna be New Orleans' version of Andrew. It's certainly gonna be one for the record books. Just pray, and not just for property, but also pray for everyone's spirits, because it's pretty easy to get depressed when the thought that everything might be gone when you go back. 'in' is the reference to make it opposite right. habitable comes from Latin word Habeo to mean to live. sorry. or do you mean next time the disaster hits again in which case they will be in a state of continual homelessness. Yea im pretty sure this Hurricane wouold be imbedded in the records of NO and will never be forgotten. Category 5, fourth to hit US in records. not to far from record wind force either if im not wrong
