This map is really interesting stuff. I find it telling that many of the areas we know to be sinnful have a serious lack of priests...LA,San Francisco, RICHMOND....Also, notice how most of the b rowns are concentrated in the southern part of the US, thus proving my hypothesis that Sotuherns are perfect anf God knows it :)

PS I AM NOT TOLEDO JESUS :( I wish my boyfriend would log out on my comp! I am Craftygrl06.

what is particularly interesting about this is that in some areas we can see specifically where there is a growth in the number of vocations. Maybe the bishops ought to learn or take notes from these dioceses.

Arlington Diocese... booooo yeah!!! (13% surplus of priests... ow ow!)

It's funny that it was not until I left the Arlington Diocese, VA to go to Richmond Diocese, VA for college that I realized there was even a shortage of priests!

Have you guys read the book Goodbye, Goodmen by Michael Rose? I think his conspiracy theory that our nation's priest shortage was because good, orthodox men were acutally turned away from progressive seminaries in the 60's, 70's, 80's is a very credible idea!
