Hi, my name is Socrates. I'm ancient Greek and was born around 470 B.C., which I guess makes me older than most on here. I have a snub nose and a long white beard and wear a toga. I wander about teaching truth.

Ash Wednesday

Hmmm... very interesting.

My dad's family is 100% German. My mom's was Swedish, Norwegian, and French.

I also speak Swedish. And as always, I'm Catholic. My grandparents were all Catholic except my grandmother, who had the Scandinavian blood -- but she converted to Catholicism later in her life. :hehe:

Let's see...

My dad's family is 50% French and Italian. My mom's family is mostly French and Welsh, and directly descended from John and Prscilla Alden as well as John Greenleaf Whittier and Noah Webster. Apparently I could be a Daughter of the American Revolution if I wanted to be.

My dad's family came from Teano, Italy I'm not sure when. My distant cousins set the cobblestones of Federal Hill in Providence, RI. My grandmother was French-Canadian and Irish (it must be in their blood, but all but one of my uncles as well as my dad married French women...hmm). She was Baptist for most of her life, and later converted to Catholicism.

The Italian side of my family is extremely loud and boisterous. My second cousin, Pat, is a personal trainer to the stars in Manhattan and once dated and almost married Julia Roberts. He trained Jennifer Grey for her part in Dirty Dancing, etc, etc, and so on.

My cousin works in a circus

I'm half Chinese, quarter Irish and quarter French.

Oh, just a little more info. My Mum is Chinese, my dad is French Canadian.

Uh, my Mum has quite the stories from when she was in China, Communism and things, she came over to Canada when she was in her twenties.
