What is the biggest problem facing today?

Apathy

In the present world, which is the biggest threat to human hapiness and salvation? or Which sin or error do you believe history will attribute to this current generation?

*sigh*

Bascially, with a slap in back of the head GrandPa Wisdom forced me to set-up this poll. I think he is secretly hoping I will win; whatever. <_<

So what do you believe to be the worst problem with the world today? If you pick 'other', please let us know why and what. (like I care, but do it anyways). Please?

I was going to put the devil up there, but GrandPa says that we are trying to single out the 'seeds' of evil, not evil itself because of this because of that and this that blablabla that guys rambles on and on and doesn't stop once he gets started. I never really listen to him. Actually, I never really listen to anyone.

By the way, Sloth says hi. He has his little 'vote for me' flag but he ain't waving it though, guess its just too much work for him.

The London Times once asked GK Chesterton to write in and discuss what he thought was the worst problem the world faced (hunger, poverty, war, etc). Here was his response:
Dear Sirs,

I am.

Sincerely,

GK Chesterton
Honestly, there are way too many problems to pick which one is worse, but i said lust b/c that's what causes things like rape, pornography (esp. child pornography), pedophilia, abortion, divorce, STD's, AIDS, poverty (if a girl gets kicked out for having sex, or getting pregnant, and no one helps her with her baby), incest, adultery, seduction, etc. i could go on ,but then we'd have a novel

Apathy, without a doubt. We can't fix the big problems without little steps. Apathy alone prevents taking the first step, or recognizing the problem, or being intellectually honest, etc.

Apathy is death.

I think I would accept someone who does nothing than someone who evil. Wouldn't you agree?

Word. In today's world this is what will bring all the perversions on that list into more of an acceptance (apathy?) by society in general.

EDIT: When I think of liberalism, I'm thinking more along the lines of those who would rationalize things like abortion and free sex more than the practice of altar girls.

I put atheism cause think about this:

If everyone was a sincere beleiving orthodox Catholic, there would be ALOT less violence, lust, etc etc

But I think a huge problem in our society today is unchastity. An insurgence of the virutue of Chastity would solve alot of problems.

and libralism itself is a big problem

Yeah, those were my thoughts, too. The way I see it, this liberal phenomenon is very centered on the individual. The more "ME" in the world, the more problems we're going to have, until it becomes about "US" again.

Laudate_Dominum

I chose "other", and with no intention of minimizing anything on the list. I just see the world as being infested with grotesque and twisted lies which distort the fundamental goodness of creation and human life, giving birth to many of these other phenomenon. The moral evils in the world can be traced back to lies that people believe either consciously, or just in their conditioned attitudes. The serpent vomits the filth of lies upon the world. The fall itself began with an atrocious lie, which when believed, alienated man from the love of God and the truth of our being and destiny. Beauty is twisted all around us by revolting lies that are most sinister and seductive.
In the book of Revelation John records the serpent attacking "the woman" by spewing a flood from his mouth to drown her.. I see this happening; and the many headed beast is emerging from the sea.. This vision is primordial and archetypal, reflecting the texture of our fallen world's history, as it is being assumed into the crucified Christ.
