I don't really collect things, but I do have a lot of medals and rosaries.. Maybe I should give them away.

I've got 6" statues of Mary and St. Anthony, and 2" statues of both as well - the Mary one glows. I'd love to get more. I've got them all together along with my rosary and some holy cards. I've got a crucifix over my bedroom door (right next to my little 'shrine') which was hung in the hospital room where I was born (it was a Catholic hospital). I'm not sure if that counts as a collection yet. I just saw 'The Skeleton Key' though, so now I'm not sure I want to sleep in the same room as them, hahaha.

I collect prayer cards... I actually ended up with doubles... lol. I gave them away to friends.

It only appears I collect rosaries. People just think it's a nice Christmas gift. Now I have over 20 rosaries. Is there somewhere I can send rosaries? Like a mission house or something?

I used to collect a lot of stuff...rosaries, holy cards, even Bibles!!!

But I am making an effort not to own more than I really should. I keep about 2 or 3 Rosaries and try to use them until I wear them out...if I aquire other things I donate them to the missions. I used to have SO many bibles in all different translations but those went to the missions too... I have kept a lot of holy cards with pictures, but the pamphlets with information (pro-life pamphlets, tracts) got donated.

It just got to the point where I had over 100 rosaries and this little Irish lady from my parish was telling me about how churches in Africa and Asia are in dire need of Rosaries, bibles, crucifixes and all kinds of religious things because people just don't have the money. Also, donating rosaries to the troops is a good idea.

Someone at your parish would probably have some info about donating things... If not, it's good to support the missionary efforts overseas and people in the US who are serving the poor. Pick a religious order (franciscans, dominicans, missionaries of charity) and you can mail rosaries. My grandma's parish once did a Rosary drive where people donated extra rosaries and they sent them to American soldiers who were fighting in the Iraq war.
