ofpheritup
HELLO, my signature pretty much says it all. My grandfather was a cop for over 35 years. I think cops are great (most of them). They are out there day after day trying to do a difficult job. People have a way of taking them for granted until they need them. Imagine part of your job description reading MUST BE WILLING TO GET SHOT (being facetious). The next time you see one would you consider taking a moment to stop and say THANK YOU. Let them know you appreciate them and that you are praying for them. I do this wherever I go and the response I get is always positive. One of the ones I spoke to said, "It means everything to me to know that you are out there praying for us" After he said that he hugged me. See, cops are people too. the_rev
One time I got pulled over by a state trooper and told him my grandma fell and I had to go to her aid and that was why I was speeding... He said normally he wouldn't believe that but since I had a rosary hanging from my rear view mirror he said he'd let me off with a warning. Needless to say I had to go to confession. RC_
I had a bad experience with a cop and an unwarrented search... But I guess most of them are cool.

Within the county I live I have met 6 that I feel would be better working fast food. They have no " people skills" and are on power trips. But the majority of the ones I have met are loving, caring, funny and compassionate. These are the ones I choose to focus on. Every profession has its share of NUTCASES. I guess I'll pray for them after all. Edited August 18, 2005 by ofpheritup
