COPS ARE PEOPLE TOO !

HELLO, my signature pretty much says it all. My grandfather was a cop for over 35 years. I think cops are great  (most of them).

They are out there day after day trying to do a difficult job.
People have a way of taking them for granted until they need them.

Imagine part of your job description reading MUST BE WILLING TO GET SHOT  (being facetious).

The next time you see one would you consider taking a moment to stop and say THANK YOU. Let them know you appreciate them and that you are praying for them. I do this wherever I go and the response I get is always positive.

One of the ones I spoke to said, "It means everything to me to know that you are out there praying for us" After he said that he hugged me. See, cops are people too.

One time I got pulled over by a state trooper and told him my grandma fell and I had to go to her aid and that was why I was speeding... He said normally he wouldn't believe that but since I had a rosary hanging from my rear view mirror he said he'd let me off with a warning.

Needless to say I had to go to confession.

[quote name='RC_' date='Aug 17 2005, 12:10 AM']I had a bad experience with a cop and an unwarrented search... :idontknow:

But I guess most of them are cool.

I totally understand and agree with you. I have had my own experiences.

Within the county I live I have met 6 that I feel would be better working fast food. They have no " people skills" and are on power trips.

But the majority of the ones I have met are loving, caring, funny and compassionate. These are the ones I choose to focus on.

Every profession has its share of NUTCASES.

Can I take that back? Fast food hasn't done anything to deserve them. The other cops that work with them don't want to.

So where do we put them? :idontknow:

I guess I'll pray for them after all.

My Knights of Columbus insurance agent was a cop and a parole officer for a long time. He worked vice, lol...he shows people his pictures from back when he was busting meth labs in the 70's...skinny Mexican-American with cut-offs and a fro, lol...it was funny!

He had two hits order out on him, once...
