homeschoolmom
This isn't meant to be a complaint thread. I know gas in Europe is way more expensive than it is here... I'm just curious what the price of regular unleaded is running in you area. We are taking a long car trip to Washington, DC starting this weekend... I haven't filled up in awhile, but I think gas was $2.60 ish last time I did.
Carrie
I've seen it anywhere between 2.63 - 2.89 this week around here.

Didacus
Gas prices in Canada have breached the 1.00$ per litre mark for the first time in history. My region has it at 1.05$/litre. For you metric-illeterate people, that's 3.97$ per gallon. Happy trails...

Didacus
The last time gas prices hit the levels they are now was in the early 80s. Remember the recession? i think there is another on the way. high gas prices like this has a profound effect on the world economy. Pay your debts... That is good advice anytime, but I think more so now. Gas prices aren't about to fall back anytime soon.
jgirl
It was 2.69 in Normal, IL, and it's 2.49 in St. Louis right now. Does your Church have Scrip with gas gift cards? You could always buy some of those so that instead of all your money going to gas, some of it kicks back to your Church, too!

Brother Adam
2.79 in MI and 2.69 in Ohio. I've heard 3.05 in CA and I've been told to expect 3.50 by labor day. Time to drill in Alaska. I'll let you know one thing though. The major highways are empty. We were on I-80 I-76 and US 23 and I-96 and all of them were empty at major traffic times. In fact I remember when gas was only like 89 cents a gallon. Those were the days.... I really think that it's time to get the ball rolling on hydrogen powered cars and solar electricity.
