My brother noticed it in the drawer of a cash register and requested it as his change. The cashier said they get things like that often and it's usually from someone who raids their collection so they can buy cigarettes. My son thinks it's pretty neat, but he's kinda :coagulated milk: ed that I won't let him spend it.

homeschoolmom
Actually, he likes walking around with straws and stuff pretending he's smoking. In fact, he overheard me joking about the candy cigarettes we used to have as kids... He thought that was cooooool...

iggy
i had my fair share of candy cigarettes, but my mom kept a picture of two sets of lungs on the refridgerator... one smoker, one non-smoker. none of us 5 kids smoke.
homeschoolmom
Oh yeah, my son said he'd never really smoke. He just thinks it's fun to walk around like that. When I told him that we had cigarette gum with powdered sugar smoke, he wondered why they don't have them anymore.
iggy
oh... those are exactly the ones I played with as a child... when we were lucky, the ice cream man had ones that you could blow into to make smoke come out, and they looked more realistic

It's funny how they got away with selling those. They'd never make those now... Now it's all cell phones and baby bottles...
