jmjtina
praying daily going to school like flowery.it's what keeps our family together. Weekly we do a family rosary. Sometimes every two weeks. Sometimes we just get on a roll and do it for every night. That's the one that's kinda infrequent. But our rosary is our Sword against evil and our protection. I like to have my sword with me in the battles everyday. It feels good to go to sleep with one in your hand. But who prays with the trimmings? ya know adding stuff? We add towards the end: The memore st. michael act of contrition Come holy spirit fill the hearts of thy faithful..... and more. Trimmings anyone? IcePrincessKRS
I'm glad I'm not the only slacker in the world... well not glad that we're slackers, but glad that we're all fessing up to our faults and trying to make them better. I DO pray alot, but I don't pray the Rosary as much as I should, I go in spurts where I say it daily and then not at all for awhile. I love the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Often its easier for me to get into a habit of saying the Chaplet regularly first and then move on up to the Rosary in addition to the Chaplet. Carrie
I need to pray it more often as well. I intend to do it more, but it usually only works out to be about once a month. I'm such a slacker.
Uncle Gus
Thanks everyone for your contirbutions I forgot about this poll because, sheesh! A new thread only stays on the front page for about two seconds. When pray the Rosary by myself, I add a few trimmings, namely the "come Holy Spirit" at the end of each decade, and the Fatima prayer. Uncle Gus
Oh, and I ask for St. Joseph's intercession in between each decade also. And sometimes I invoke a few other Saints here and there, particularly my confirmation Saint. I think our confirmation Saints are a little bit neglected [Edit: What's confirmantion? ] Edited November 21, 2003 by Uncle Gus

Ash Wednesday
I try to pray the rosary at least 3 times a week.... should work up to daily though. Dave
I try to pray the rosary every day, but I often fail in that regard. And that's unfortunate because Our Lady deserves so much better than what I give her. What I really need to stop doing is waiting until I'm in bed at night to pray it -- I always fall asleep! morostheos
While at school, I pray the rosary at least twice a week faithfully. We have rosary group that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Thursday is at my apartment, so I don't even have to remember to go anywhere!! We add lots of trimmings We pray the St. Gertrude prayer after every decade (it supposedly gets 1000 souls out of purgatory for every time its prayed! Mission to Empty Purgatory ) We also add St. Michael, and a litany of the saints which sometimes ends up seeming to go on forever :D Just so many people to ask for help! the_rev
Hey could you provide us with that prayer?
the_rev
Another question, could you pray it 100 times in a row to release 1,000 souls from purgatory, each time you pray it in that row?
morostheos
Eternal Father, I offer You the most Precious Blood of Your Divine Son, Jesus Christ, in union with the Masses said today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. Suppossedly you would get 1,000 souls out of purgatory. I'm not so sure about the authenticity of it, or if it's Vatican approved or anything, but hey, no harm trying, right? cmotherofpirl
Since you all spend so much time on the computer use the virtualrosary.com : program it takes less than 15 minutes. Everybody has 15 minutes every day for Mary.
