Duuuuh. But that doesnt help the rest of my family. But personally, on my tv, i removed all the channels except EWTN and ABC Family, so when i channel surf, i only get those two. That way when i get bored, and channel surf, i dont get tempted to watch bad stuff.

Removing cable from your house doesn't necessarily "help" your family...

There are TONS of good programs on cable that are great!

If you really are concerned about the television they watch, just pour some water INSIDE the TV and rip the plugs out...that way, they'll NEVER be tempted to watch cable! :)

photosynthesis

this is especially disturbing, since J+J is a pharmaceutical company, dedicated to healh. When J+J openly supports homosexuality, they are making it seem like it is fine and healthy, when it isn't.

Yes, but my family doesnt choose the good stuff.

Trust me, we would be better off without it.

Pharmaceutical companies are companies first. They aren't the least bit dedicated to people living healthy lives. If someone gets sick and gets some pills, the drug company makes money. They don't want to kill people, and in fact want people to be healthy in the sense of not showing symptoms of illness, but they want to be making money off people not showing symptoms. Given the choice between a vaccine that prevents a disease or a drug that keeps people from developing the symptoms of a disease once the diseas is contracted, the drug company will choose the drugs unless the vaccine has the potential to be more profitable.

We primarily got rid of cable (actually, DISH) a few years ago because the channel-packages meant we had to support companies we didn't want to.

It's only gotten worse since then!

[quote name='Brother Adam' date='Jul 28 2005, 11:32 AM']I'm tellin' ya people, get rid of cable. Just get rid of it. You'll get over the shock of not seeing your tv shows soon enough and you'll find your relationships with family, friends, and God growing.

Taking away your TV doesn't stop the fact that buying a Johnson & Johnson product supports a homosexual agenda. Does it?

When did Catholics become ostriches?

Fine. Take away your neighbors TV too. If you really want to prove yourself, destroy a TV store.

Kill all televisions! Buah!

disclaimer: I do not advocate the actual destroying of televisions. I watch TV quite frequently and have no intention of stopping.

Hah, I only use my TV for playing video games or movie rentals. I only get 2 local stations in, with quite a bit of static.

I'd take my cable internet over cable TV anyday. :-) My boyfriend loves TV, and I just don't understand him. He'll tell me all about the latest cool show or whatever, and I'll be like, "meh".
