Friday company meal

Okay, I invited our new priest over for dinner again... and it's going to be on a Friday. I hate making dinner on Friday as I try to avoid meat on Fridays... So, our usual meals are like scrambled eggs, pb and j sammiches etc. very simple.

Okay, so I can't serve PB and J sandwiches to company. So, I could make some nice fish or something like that...

BUT my kids are really picky eaters, so I have to fix something nice and something my kids will eat.

Suggestions?

I'm thinking pizza...

hmmm, what about a vegetable stir fry or curry or something like that. Maybe the vegetarians on here could help you with that one. Or you could go for the simple pasta option

I visited a monastery in April, and it was on a Friday. The monks ate a beautiful side of salmon (and ramen noodles on the side).

I was thinking maybe I'd make a practice meal of fish... see how the kids like it. If it isn't in "stick form" it's not good to them...

In general, I don't like to make them something separate... but it's a strong possibility here...

i'm sure it would be the first time for a priest to be invited to dinner and then not actually get any-i'm sure he would be very impressed
