KennC
a.a. is saving my life! well this is an up to date on your loved one. and my message is that a.a. and n.a. are the best! can anyone relate?? Hi rckllnknny; Yup I can, I 've been clean, sober and a lot more at Peace since Aug 26 1986. There was a time when I thought one day was impossible, then there were two and then three .... then 17 years, all by the Grace of God. Read the steps carefully, especially step three. All the steps are important but four and five were key for me and many I know. Solid steps six and seven for me was where I found the "promises" had come true. You'll also find so much of the Catholic Church teaching and understanding in the program. One of my favorite lines today is "there is no high like the most High". My Prayer is with you. Peace of Christ, Ken

Norseman82
Hey, if you're crazy about motorcycles, Sober Riders is a growing organization. You could start a club in your town. What kind of bike does he have? I'm in an interdenominational Christian sportbike group and frankly I am hoping to get more Catholics involved to clear up many misconceptions about the Church that some may have. Rick, Glad to hear you're taking these steps. Although I've never been addicted, I've seen within my own family what substance abuse can do. Stay strong and don't give up! God is always watching over us!
