chick tracts

I was given (not found) a tract while on the March for Life (I sort of expected that...) and I was also given one by an old youth group I went to a few times about a year ago as I was coming out of the movie theater.

other than that, sometimes I just see them littered in places... by the pharmacy in Kroger, stuck inbetween books in the library, etc.

..it's not necessarily a frequent thing

In New York I got a HUGE amount of Jews for Jesus tracts, and a few other random Protestant tracts... but never a Chick tract. My roommate is very into passing out tracts, she has a million tracts sitting in boxes in the room, saying stuff like "Are you going to heaven?" and "What is Baptism in the Holy Spirit?" and "Are you saved?" She is always talking about the power of tracts, but I think they are annoying.

ditto, I think they are annoying.. but for those that read them I think it'd be interesting (and entertaining) to have to look at both sides of the coin).

A Baptist student group on campus has been known to hand out tracts when they set up a booth in the Union. Heh, I thought the university had some statement about hateful literature! As far as I could tell one time, they only had an evolution tract and a general "God loves you" one.

Catholicanswers.com has tracts for sale. They are not a cartoon version but still it is something we can get out there.

They need Catholic tracts that are the same size as Chick tracts. Then when you find a Chick tract lying around, you can rip off the outer cover and staple the Catholic Tract inside. Also then the Chickites who go around and place the tracts will see that there are already Chick tracts there and not leave any more.

I'd love to work on Catholic tracts. I'm not good at comic-style writing though so I dunno. Maybe I'll just stick to my magazine and market the tracts through there

Once at my job, some nut forced a Chick tract into my hand. I handed it back, said that I'm not allowed to recieve gifts from customers. The lady went to my manager and said I was rude to her. I told him that she tried to give me a gift and that in accordance to company policy, I had to refurse it and that I tried to be as polite as possible. The manager explained the corporate policy against gratuities and sent her on her way.
