You need to register though if you want to read anything in the general forum, and need to buy the products indicated on each thread if you want to access the thread to which it relates.

Depends on what you are looking for and what interests you. There is a search engine in the forum, which might be helpful as well.

BTW, let me warn you right off. Don't ask how a trick is done, it is what is called exposure and they hate it as it goes against the magician's code of ethics. Also, I would recommend refraining from starting your own thread until you get a feel for the place. Essentially, what I am saying is that they can be elitist to a degree and if you don't play by the rules then they get very upset. I rarely post there for that reason.

What is your handle?

God Bless

No problem about the tips.

BTW, if you like watching magic, check out their new forum (e)media, it is nothing but videos of amateur and some semi-professionals doing some amazing effects.

God Bless
I prefer the Fake David Blaine Street Magic ;)
It's got some language in it though.

Although all magic is illusion I like Angel's approach better. Blaine seems to have absolutely no personality...

Excellent, as always. I just wish my TV card on my computer wasn't acting up, everytime it got to a good part the picture would freeze and has continued to do so all night. :maddest: if I get another one it will be the fifth one I have gotten...sometimes technology smells of elderberries...
I got the same vibe - something spiritually dark about him, so I changed the channel. I happen to enjoy magic. Neither David Blaine nor David Copperfied give me the creeps, so it's not like I think magic or those who perform it are evil.
Blaine is about as flat as a piece of plywood.
Yeah, and his tricks are really amazing. More of a showmen than David Blaine. Eeven though I must admit when I first saw Blaines street magic, I was pretty bewidlered on how the heck he did all that. Chris Angel has had a show on the vegas strip for years I believe, and hes always used his goth/rock musician look as part of his ploy.
He used to look like a complete geek.... his goth/rock persona was created once he went on TV.
He comes from a big italian family, I wouldn't be at all suprised if he was Catholic.
They are Greek, so they are probably Orthodox.
that is insane! how the heck can that be an illusion...

is there like, hovering technology that we all just don't know about or what??

:ninja:
He can do this trick by creating a false foot that he steps into (basically a shoe attached to the pants which are stiffened with plastic to look like a real leg and foot) and he steps out if it and balances himself. He can exit either via the front of the back of the pants depending upon which outfit he is using and what the camera/audience angle is. What you see are perfectly normal legs.. what he knows is that he has a very gymnastic like way of balancing. This is one way this is done...

I love his show. Yes, he is pretty religious from what I understand. He was picked on a lot in school... seems like a good guy... I'd love to go to at taping of his show sometime..
