I'm glad that GTA San Andreas is banned from being sold in stores. It is quite the blessing.

God bless-

Except the horrible thing is that they are going to put it back on the shelves when they take the sex scene out of it . :ohno:

So many kids already have it, too. My 12 year old cousin got it for Christmas....how twisted....I feel so bad for him. He isn't getting much help informing his conscience correctly.

Fidei Defensor

I was listening to the radio when they officially changed the rating, so they were like "this just in - the rating was changed to AO just minutes ago"

I've walked the aisles of video games at Blockbuster. I guess they can rent out the Playboy video game, but San Andreas is just too much... <_<

I guess it means that Playboy video games have an M rating instead of an AO rating... which is completely ridiculous. :club:

I agree ,there is this game called the guy game that showcases half naked women and such ,its horrible .Luckily xbox magazine rated it a 1.3 Thank God . :sign: ,although it shouldnt even be on the market.

the play boy game also got bad ratings

I think offical Xbox magazine is the best gaming mag out there- they little if any sexual images or adds in their magazine (ie soft core porn- stuff like that psm was horrible for it- they actually had a video game swimsuit section in the july issue)

but exactly- Playboy and the guy game should deffinatly be rated AO- again these games along with gta are put on the same rating as halo or splinter cell- its reall absurd

I was reading about this case, glad they slapped it with the AO rating. Never liked GTA.

What really ticks me off is the fact that parents are NOT READING THE BLASTED LABELS! It says rated M for Mature (17 or older) and even has a description under the rating. What the HELL is with these idiotic parents!? :maddest:

I read that on Gamespot (a site I visit often). Though there are other games which may not have implied sexual scenes, but have even more graphically voilent content. My point is, taking GTA: San Andreas isn't going to solve the general problem when it comes to kids and video games. The problem? Parents do not bother to read the rating that is RIGHT THERE on the FRONT OF THE DANG BOX! On the back, it also has another rating WITH A DESCRIPTION FOR THE REASON OF THE RATING IT RECEIVED. Parents are too lazy to just look at the box, and look at the rating.

Kids will do anything they can to get their hands on such games, and the parents are making it too easy for them, while in fact, it's easy as heck to keep your kids safe from such games. How? BY LOOKING AT THE RATING!

No form of restrictions (unless they slap all the games with AO ratings and prohibit them from being sold in retail stores) will prevent kids from getting their parents to buy whatever game they want, as long as the parents continue to act stupid.

Parents do not need to research the game or look up the ratings for it. All they need to do is look at the rating (the one on the back) and the very short description below it. It's that simple folks.
