Carl Rove The Left Hand of Satan

The title is just to poke fun at "incredibly loaded" topics.

But seriously, I'm curious as to what people's opinion is of Karl Rove and the recent news that he was the source that "blew the cover " of Judith Miller.

Oh and no I'm not a fan of Rove.

I dont ever give much credence to conspiracy theories and such. But its without doubt that Karl Rove is the democrats boogeyman. You hear all sorts of accusations in regards to Rove comming from the liberal camp. Does this substantiates any of it? I don't know for certain. I look at it at a case by case basis. The whitehouse made a pledge to cooperate with the investigation and fire anyone who leaked the info. If it was Rove who leaked everything , including the name, than I think the administration would need to keep their promise.

Karl Rove is a monster -- he is one of the most feared people in big-ticket American politics, and with good reason. He's a ruthless, cut-throat political genius who plays dirty, and he always has been. He is a man, as they say, "you don't want to %*#! with." But this time he got caught.

Bush pretty much owes his re-election to Rove; he was the "architect" of the entire campaign. He isn't going to get rid of him, and if he does, it'll be in title only. Karl Rove will still have a major, major influence over the president on a day-to-day basis.

Talking to me? If so, I'm not attacking Karl Rove's character; I'm describing it! I have nothing against the man -- I actually find him kind of fascinating. When I say that Rove is a political monster, I don't necessarily mean it to be a negative thing (think Michael Jordan as being a monster on the basketball court, or 50 Cent being a monster in the rap game, etc).

he may have been refering to the initial post

anyway, as far as I understand it this woman has had a CIA desk job for years and what got leaked was that she was influencing her husband to be biased on the trip to Niger.

It is uncharitable to call a person a monster. You may disagree with the man all you wish, and you can explain why you do, but to simply resort to name calling is reprehensible.

Thanks for the explanation of your use of the term, but you wouldn't have needed to give that explanation if you hadn't used the improper term in the first place. Moreover, because you are not privy to the intentions of his heart, it is wrong for you to try and "describe" his character.

Resorting to ad hominem attacks is always a bad thing.

Blessings to you,
Todd

I have to say while Todd isn't always perfect, no one can doubt that he's proper.

Todd and I have respectfully taken opposite positions on a few issues and there has never been a reason to use personal attacks on him.

And again kids, the subject title was a joke. I don't truly believe that Rove is the left hand of Satan (or right)

But I do believe that what he did was against the law.

Has anyone seen the episode of American Dad where Karl Rove helps the dad get elected to deacon of his church?? It is great. Karl Rove is in a robe with a hood so you can't see his face and every time they say his name a wolf howles and when he tries to go into the church at the end, after the dad get elected, but he starts burning when get reaches the threshhold and says, "I think I'm good out here." It is classic.
