Absolutely beautiful.
a hidden heroine beseeching Our Divine Lord on behalf of suffering, misguided humanity. Only in Heaven will we realize the good done by such contemplative nuns secreted in the cloistered monasteries of the world.
Amen! I truly believe that the prayers and sacrifices of contemplative nuns and monks hold back the hand of the Lord from delivering just punishment upon the world. They do such wonderful good for all mankind by their lives of prayer. :)

God is Justice and Truth. As such, sin is infinitely abhorrent and offensive to Him. God knew from all time that we would sin, and He allows the possibility of sin as a necessary consequence of free will, the means by which we can choose to love Him or reject Him. In His paternal love for mankind, He chastises the world to draw us away from our sins and back to Him (see Hebrews 12:6-11). Contemplatives, having given their lives to a hidden existence of sustained prayer and sacrifice, offer to God reparation for the sins of mankind. Even though they do not know us personally, they pray for our souls that we may turn from sin and walk in the way of the Lord.

God draws us to Himself because He loves us and ultimately wants us to spend eternity with him. This is definitely the best thing for us. In the very depths of our beings, there is a profound yearning for the Eternal. Nothing will truly satisfy our souls but God. Our life on this earth is really a pilgrimage, a gradual process of drawing closer to God or growing further away from Him, depending on our choices. In ways we will never fully understand in this life, God does all He can to lead us toward Heaven, while respecting our free will.
