Im thinking in less than a year.

well, seeing as the politicians are all shaking in their boots afraid of the "religious right" and a bunch of them owe their elections to the dangerous "religious right" they're not going to change legislation that makes these national holidays.

HOWEVER, if the president fails to get a good judge on the court the ACLU might be able to find a way to do away with it through the judiciary

They will if we dont get a good judge. The ACLU is off their rocker when it comes to religious freedom.

now we're not sure if Bush'll get us a good pro-life judge, but I don't think he'll have much of a problem at least getting someone who's not extreme against religious freedom et cetera enough to vote to have these holidays not be national holidays anymore.

Well they sure dont like it when anyone in the public eye refers to the holiday by name.. No "Merry Christmas", they want it "happy holidays"

I believe that they will remain National Holidays. Why wouldn't they be? Because of the separation of Church and state?

Well because Christmas is a distinctly Christian Holiday.

I don't think they'll ever change, just because the meaning's gone for most people doesn't mean the names will change.
