FaustinaVianney
I went to a talk given by Christopher West tonight and he talked about how sexual thoughts are wonderful because they are a longing for a closer union with God, which is the ULTIMATE UNION. But our society has flipped that and has taken the sexual thoughts/feelings to mean a single solitary physical act when it is so much more than that. I would suggest praising God for the longing of wanting a closer union with Him, but also ask Him to show you the right way to think of sex. "the sex obsession in our society is a desire for Heaven that has gone haywire." Christopher West May Christ's Peace be with you!!! :)

PatrickRitaMichael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may GOD rebuke him, we humbly pray. and do thou o prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into Gehenna satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. This prayer is amesome b/c instead of focusing on what I don't want to, like everyone says it makes it worse, I'm praying to St. Michael to fight Satan and I'm concentrating on something outside of myself. (The Michael in my name is for St. Michael). I imagine St Michael kicking Satan's butt, it's quite a refreshing thought actually, and I just say it over and over again until Satan finally gives up. Then I rejoice and thank God. The only good thing about lust is that when it is conquered, you rejoice in God that much more having gotten you through it! :D
Aloysius
kewl. i heard somewhere that extreme acts of penance in the middle of a temptation is not always good, it exites the nervous system and lets satan know that you're being affected by it (Satan knows certain workings between the spirit and the flesh, but only what God allows him to know, but he sees all things of the flesh) i'm just talking about stuff like throwin yourself against a wall and gettin all worked up about not doing the action which makes you think even more about the action. and it can tire you out spiritually too, making you less ready to endure the temptation for the long haul.
