Piccoli Fiori JMJ
In a fit of anger over some very unkosher joking behavior I wrote this on my xanga, and my friends whom I am talking about found it today and are mad...
My mom does not get anything, EVER! I don't like to hang out with my friends from High School because they are a bunch of sick perverts! Seriously, she thinks that it is just "kid" stuff... YEAH RIGHT! These people make me sick and I don't know why I hung out with them... well, actually I do... because my friend who moved Sophmore year was visiting from Indiana. But still, I don't want to hang out with them any time soon. They are just sickening people. I am fed up with some people's shallow "masks" and sheer stupidness... They are all Christians that all went to youth group often... I just don't know what happened to them all, but they just want to make me barf... and they wonder why I don't talk when we hang out..
I can see why :shame: How could I have been so blind! This was so aweful of me!
Thy Geekdom Come
Yes, I know how hard it is to deal with old friends and others. I have one friend in real life who uses God's name in vain somewhat frequently and he wonders sometimes why I tap myself on the chest "randomly," like in the Kyrie or the Confiteor. We just have to be patient and recognize that we are all far from perfect.

photosynthesis
my 8th grade english teacher once said, "whenever you write, you put yourself at risk..." so true! but... i've been there before... it's never fun when people find things you never wanted them to find. Ash Wednesday
I'm sorry. I had a crappy day, too.
Old_Joe
seems like a lot of people have been having a rough time lately. myself included. When you start to turn inward and collapse in upon your self, no light can shine forth. If you do start to turn inward, then that's the time do some soul searching especially through reflective prayer.

My mom always asks "why dont you go to a friends house?" Well, because if you knew any of the people at my school, and how they are, you wouldnt want me to. There are no true Christians at my school, or among my friends. I have friends yes, but their lives outside of school are not what i want to get caught up in. Even the kids that were in my CCD are lost now too. They were forced to go, and now they dont care one bit about the faith. Makes me sick.
jmjtina
Why are your friends mad? Your venting. If you can't vent around your friends, then what's the point? No one is perfect and my future husband better not judge me so harshly or I'll go off on him too. Let me vent and then I'll probably say something more charitable and more calmly. We all say things we regret, but sometimes, "friends" like those bring out the worst in us. Our true friends usually let us vent and we usually apologize for the behavior. Get over it. Start again. Don't dwell on what has already happened, but what you can change. No one is perfect, but we all strive for perfection. If no one EVER goes off and vent, I'd think you were some psycho. But your not. Your normal. Thank the Good Lord!!!!
Crispy
its a problem these days, b/c most of our culture (even "Christians") are getting tainted and are seeming les and less faithful to God. u jus gotta trust in God an let Him work it out
Quietfire
FutureNun, I can only assume that in person you are as passionate about the faith as you are here so in all honesty, had I been one of your friends and read that.... I would start examining my life more closely.
Fides_et_Ratio
I wrote something like that once, and my friends found it, and my good friend approached me about it and we talked... things are "uneasy" still (because I'm a "religious nut")... but definitely more open and we tend to talk things through a bit more. use it as an opportunity for communication. they really made you feel like that & that's legitimate... and they're allowed to be mad (but they need to recognize your feelings too)... so talk, if you can. Extra ecclesiam nulla salus
my friend told me this. he said that the amount of relegious people is less but they are more devout than 500 years ago.
Noel's angel
My mother is always saying 'why don't you go out like everyone else your age does?' I feel like saying, 'Well, if I did that, I would have already have had sex at least once, been drunk at least once a month and have tried drugs'
