jasJis
Check it out. You can read the readings before Mass on Sunday and get more out of the readings during the Liturgy of the Word (and the Homily too!). Just do it.
Unshackled
Why wait? You can read the Bible every day. Isn't that what Jesus told us to do? Try it!
Dave
Why wait? You can read the Bible every day. Isn't that what Jesus told us to do? Try it! Ummm . . . while we can and should read the Bible every day, Jesus never told us to do so -- you won't find it in the Bible because the Bible didn't even exist at that time! Sorry for the loose translation. Please insert the word "scripture" as you are fully aware that Jesus quoted often and stated that they were extremely important. hyperdulia again
we can read the bible, but it is also considered a rather good idea to read/listen to scripture during worship.

God Conquers
And if we can reflect on the Scripture we will be hearing from the pulpit the next Sunday, even better.
phatcatholic
i just recently discovered the Magnificat, the little reader's-digest-sized book that has all the readings, as well as prayers for the morning and the evening, and the lives of the saints and explanations of the feast days. its pretty cool! everyone should try to find one if that haven't read one before. you can get a monthly perscription, but i think its pretty expensive. well worth it tho, if u ask me! pax christi, nick
