Sure there are those who can't complete basic, and the few who get released before their contract is up, but for the most part it would work, right? [/quote] you are right. it's not like you're gonna apply for your citizenship as soon as you sign on that dotted line. you still have to go through Basic Military Training and Technical School/MOS school.
