Katholikos
This is no joke, last Tuesday I passed by a church in a small town in North Carolina. Guess what it was called? Brimstone Baptist Church It was extremely small, like a size of a street corner barber shop. I just thought it was hilarious, not in a mocking way though. Hilarious! Is the name of the town "Brimstone" North Carolina? Or maybe they burn sulphur instead of incense at that church. I'm being silly. A Baptist would never burn incense - too pagan (Catholics are pagan, don'tchaknow). Of course, they never read Revelation . . . They never got past John 3:16. Sorry. I'm still mad at the Baptists for lying to me . . . JMJ Likos Ex-Southern Baptist, ex-agnostic, ex-atheist, ecstatic to be Catholic!

Muschi
My brain just emptied itself of all names. I'm sorry, but that happens alot! You know who you are, (please forgive me, bear with me in my weakness), but I pray that you won't stay angry at the Southern Baptists for lying to you. They didn't mean to. As far as they are concerned, they WERE telling you the "pure, un-adulterated Word of God"! I was briefly exposed to the Baptist faith, I have no idea which one because I was very young, but was primarily raised Pentecostal/"non-denominational, a.k.a. Assemblies of God which really is still an offshoot of Pentecostalism). I'm glad I was raised this way to the extent that I first learned to love God and believe in Him for my salvation and lead something of a moral life. Granted, my idea of morals didn't line up even close to the Catholic Church, but I did the best (sort of) with what I knew. I say "sort of" because sure, I did try and "bend" the rules a few time. After all, who's interpretation of Scripture was to be my ultimate authority?..........ANYWAY, This was for me at least a start. By the grace of God just when I was about to give up on Christianity and religion all-together, I remembered that I was baptized a Catholic and only heard the most horrible of things regarding Catholicism so I decided to check these so-called claims against this "church " for myself. By the most wonderful precious grace of God, I sit here sharing this story with you. I love Jesus, I love His Church. (I still pray that he help me to be more obedient though.......I struggle with addiction to cigarrettes and wine....but still love Him with what I can...just pray for me please.) I believe with my heart that I'm on the right track and pray that I can be that "moldable clay" that He can work with to do His will. God bless you all! - With the love of Christ, - Muschi.
