bx_racer
personally i dont see anything wrong with death if you dont let it get to you. i really dont know much about Christian metal, but isnt iron maiden Christian. Oh, and In Flames is probably secular but you should hear embody the invisible by them. its cool.
Dreamweaver
Heh, DemonSlayer is a resident metal-know-it-all. Here's a list of a whole bunch of Christian metal bands, arranged by genre and similar bands listed. A word of warning, few, if any, are Catholic, so some may be critical of organized Christianity. AFAIK, Iron Maiden as a band isn't Christian, but Nicko McBrain, the drummer, became a born again Christian a few years ago. InCircles
here's a list of stuff i used to listen to that was pretty awesome: ZAO(old CD's are christian...i dont think they are anymore) Underoath Stretch Arm Strong Between The Lies Martyr Sinai Beach Falling Cycle im pretty sure that these bands are christian...but you should still follow up on any news because they can change and then be on the look out for anti-catholic lyrics...i used to like this band called mourning again...until i bought one of their old Cd's and found out how anti-catholic they were. peace out i'll see if i can find anymore bands. Sinai Beach is anti-Catholic. Zao's members are Christian, but they don't consider them a Christian band anymore, due to the misrepresentation that the name "Christian" may bring, but their last album still was strongly Christian-themed (the hypothetical death of God and the effect on mankind). Last i heard Stretch Armstong no longer consdiered themsleves Christian (or a Christian band). Edited June 13, 2005 by DemonSlayer

Crispy
there was a thread that talked about this a while ago. i dont know much about the crusades either, but it is more than white (or black i guess) washing the catholics and pope as power hungry and sadistic butchers. true, there were some very misguided catholic leaders, even a few bad popes, but all must be looked at, not just a limited view. correct me if im wrong, but i think most of the crusades were not as unjust as people say. i think it was the last crudade (6th, 7th??) but i digess. thx for the metal bands guys, i will be looking into them. any more to add to the list would be appreciated. Peace.

luciana
The band Disarm was not specifically Catholic, but had Catholic ideas. They broke up, but Seven Sorrows has the music somewhere on their site as mp3s. www.sevensorrows.com
