KizlarAgha
If you make a full and honest confession but forget something accidentally, then it is still absolved to my knowledge. However, if you later remember something that you forgot to confess and it seems reasonably grave, it's hard to feel "absolved" seeing as how you never confessed for it. Should it be brought up at some time with a priest or just left alone?
Apotheoun
Any grave sins that a man forgets to confess during the celebration of the sacrament of penance, or which for any other reason remains inadvertently unconfessed, must be confessed as soon as the sin is remembered. As the Code of Canon Law Annotated edition explains in connection with the related case of a general absolution: ". . . the penitent continues to be bound to the divine precept of integral and individual confession of sins, just as he or she is under the obligation to confess those sins that, owing to involuntary omission, have not been directly pardoned by the keys of the Church." [Code of Canon Law Annotated (Latin Rite). Montreal: Wilson & Lafleur Limitee, 1993. Page 625] Thus, once a grave sin that has been forgotten is remembered, it must be confessed within a suitable period of time.
