I'd tell you in Japanese but my nihongo computer lingo isn't there. So, what you do is you go to the start menu, then control panel. Then click "date, time language, and regional options." Then click "add other languages." Check the little box that says "install files for east asian languages."

Once that's done you'll need to restart. Then, go back to this last menu. Instead of checking a box, click "details." It will open up a new window. You will need to click add, and select Japanese from the list. Then, go to the language bar settings in that same window, and click on "show the language bar on the desktop."

This should provide a little "en" symbol in blue on your task bar. click that and then click "show the language bar." It will bring it to the top of the screen (unless it was already there, then ignore this step.) Then click the English button and click Japanese. Then you can change the input mode by clicking the funky letter "A" and changing it to the hiragana character.

eh, I could change it to Japanese, but the last time I changed the language on my computer, it messed it up.

Now my cursor is all funny...permanently. That bugs me. Stupid foreign languages...

Anyway, I'll bump this in a few months when I can speak Arabic. That'll be fun. Well, speak some arabic I mean, not like, fluently.
