For those who plan to boycott Ford and GM, take a look at this.

Ford Motor Company

Ford owns: Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin.

General Motors

GM owns: Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Oldsmobile, Saturn, Hummer, SAAB.

It's unfortunate, but we can't boycott everything. If we did, we would be living in caves right about now.

I have a Kia... who owns that and what evil has my money thus gone towards?

we need to start making our own companies to make our own products... we're enslaved and dependant to big business.

Right. So we shouldn't be fed this boycott nonsense anymore.

Well come to think of it, there's still Lexus, Toyota, KIA, and Mitsubishi (not sure which company owns them). Though in time, there will be a reason to boycott them.

Toyota owns Lexus. I already pointed out they support stem cell research on embryos.

i agree, we can't boycott everything but we can sure as easily let them know what their doing is wrong and fight for change--all by being Heard :director:

as Jim Caviezel said, "This society is a society of decline we can't allow what is happening continue to be allowed desensitizing us all through TV and movies. I see what is coming from the toilets 5 years from now and I'm telling you its not good and its getting worse. We can't be quiet on issues that attack our faith. We have to fight this battle thats raging"

man I love that guy!

The only way you'll be heard is to buy a whole lotta stock, show up at the annual meeting and make noise. That will take some serious money. And then the company will probably go under.

Otherwise, your voice and abstention will be drowned out in the gobs of cash from people who don't know, don't care, or for whatever reason can't be picky.

Edited to add: that said, you still have to follow your conscience. Which can make everyday life painful. But that's something we're used to. :(

of course one single person might not be heard...thats why its good to have threads that spread awareness.

you know who your dealing with.....which can make a world of difference

i think we underestimate ourselves...thinking nothing can affect this monster comapny and no one speaks up....when really one could--just never tried before

lots of times you'll be surprised
