If possible use online bill pay. I use my bank's credit card and use nothing but that. I then log on and pay off my credit card with my checking account on line so that I can build up credit. So I guess I use my credit card as a debit card practically, but with an extra step.

^ me, too. I even was able to make it so that my credit card automatically pays itself off from my checking account when it is due.

yeah...in a few months (after I switch jobs) i think i will be getting one too. i am gonna use that online bill pay where it automatically takes the money from my checking account and pays it off when it is due so I don't have to worry. and i am praying for the grace of discipline and well ordering of my finances so I don't mess myself up when i get it.

Just always be sure you have covering funds in your checking account, otherwise it could overdraw your checking and you have another problem on your hand.
