KizlarAgha
Men generate more heat than women. So that they don't over heat the hypothalmus compares the signal sent by the sensors located through out the body to the "thermostat". It will then cause the blood vessels to do what they need to or vasodialate so that the blood can be brought to the extremeties to get released into the atmosphere. Women are colder because their blood is being brought to other areas of their body. As far as the pants thing I don't see it as a rebellion thing. I wear pants because they are comfortable. Easier to deal with. and they are protective as well. I would like to hear how they are the instrument of the devil. Also I agree with LGLG....I am not a huge fan of dresses. Unless they are those fancy dresses like for prom and the such....finally someone who understands what I mean about my weirdness for dressing up.
Spiffy. I like learning about biological differences. How are pants the devil? Well, that's a secret.

Thy Geekdom Come
Well see that's my point. The clothing isn't different, it's the cultural baggage we carry with it. So really, clothing is meaningless outside of culture. Look at it this way: A red headed guy who claims scottish ancestry wears a kilt to school on a special occasion. Nobody finds this odd. But if the same guy were to start wearing the kilt every single day, it would raise eyebrows. Now, if this person isn't scottish, but just feels like wearing the kilt every day - it's weird.
Did you go to my highschool? We had a kid who did that... No, they intent still makes a difference. Intent isn't just determined by culture. A kilt really isn't the same thing as a dress, because they were invented for different reasons. Our culture may take issue, but that's out of misunderstanding of the intent behind the invention of the clothing. Regardless of culture, a dress and a kilt are categorically different...they just aren't always understood as different.

Additionally, since I'm sure it will be mentioned, pants were originally unisex to the barbarians who wore them.

Pants were an undergarment for Germanic women, to be worn beneath long dresses. The men just wore tunics over them.
lil bull 04
I love skirts and dresses. I think women wearing pants is an instrument of the devil himself because pants represent horrible evil oppression and should be burned on sight.
i know how u feel...trust me...i wear them 100% of the time at work...oh wait i volunteered to be in the army so i won't complain but it does get hot wearing them after a while. that and i am just sick of them.
HAHAHA!! I love you! You're the greatest! See girls? If you're forced to wear pants and not allowed to wear dresses then they start to piss you off and become a symbol of oppression and the things you aren't allowed to do. I mean, imagine if somebody made you wear a tux to prom. Then you'd think pants were the devil.

Thy Geekdom Come
My brother went to an all boys' school and they had the "mom prom" because they couldn't have a real prom with dates. My mom and brother went as the Blues Brothers...mom likes pants.

Dreamweaver
Skirts are fun to wear once in a while. Sadly, they're not all that practical when you're moving around, trudging around campus, climbing stairs, running through snow banks... That and I look mighty silly wearing sneakers wtih skirts. I can't go wearing dress shoes every day! Pants themselves aren't the devil, but shopping for them are! I primarily get all my clothes from thrift stores, and I hate the way that womens' pants are made/sized. Many times I just about swore them off and promised myself I'd only buy guy pants. But they'd still be ill-fitting...

I went to my senior prom with one of my best guy friends who is like my brother. He would have gotten a kick out of it. However, I'm from Minnesota, and I am happy to say I have a wonderful boyfriend who I am promised too. God willing someday to be married. I didn't mean anything like that at all. I just wanted to cause a stir in my school. God bless- LGLG
