kateri05
i miss believing that parents had all the answers... not that i don't love and respect my parents, i'm more talking of that feeling of security that someone knows everything and can tell you what to do. its scary losing that feeling and facing the big bad world! Soldier4Him
i must admit, i do have peter pan syndrome. but isn't it amazing how when you're a kid, all u want to do is grow up, and do grown up things? like stay up late, earn money, have a car, your own place....and then when we do grow up, we want to be a kid again? isn't there some happy medium?! iggy
I used to play with her Did i mention i am a guy.. Shhh i didnt say that..
I don't know, I liked it when there really was a guy playing Ken... that way the reaction was really what a guy would do and not what you thought a boy would do. luciana
I don't wanna grow up. I wanna be a Toys 'R' Us kid.
'I don't wanna grow up cause maybe if i did I couldn't be a Toys 'R' Us Kid." LOL, now that song is inmy head. I remeber making clubhouses, out of sheets, blankets, and under the outside stairs at my cousin's house, or in my grandparents porch; playing w/our uncle's Atari, thinking he was so cool to have one, playing "kick the can" at the post office parking lot. playing w/ dolls, "gloworms dolls", teenage mutant ninja turtles, and fake transformers action figures (before my baby isster we were 2 girls and 2 boys). riding our tricycles in circles around in our basement when the weather was bad, and running through sprinklers when the weather was nice. heck, I still like to get wet by a sprinkler if it's hot and I'm walking outside. franciscanheart
what about playing barbies or baby dolls for hours on end...
I never played with barbies. I mean I did but I was one of those kids who could barely stand to take them out of the box much less play with them. I had a Barbie house and then next to that the whole city so that's really the only reason I ever took them out of boxes. BUT as soon as they came out they went to the grocery store or the vet clinic or whatever and never moved. I put them there and made it look pretty and stared at them. I just looked and looked at how pretty they were and what I had created for them. I knew I was different haha but that's okay.

franciscanheart
this year at convention my roomies and i (bonnie, lizzi, and laura markham) built the most gigantic fort. it took up our whole hotel room. we used the matresses, sheets, blankets, and a few of our clothes. we also turned chairs upside down and stackd them, tucked blankets behind the tv and then under it, borrowed some materials from a box for a techie event (some clamps), as well as blankets from other rooms. We wouldn't let anyone in (including our directors) until it was done. We had so much fun. INTERUPTING MYSELF TO SAY: I forgot though that we used a BIBLE!! to hold a sheet on top of a lamp. But anyway, my favorite tool was the clamp because we had clamped sheets to a wall light lamp shade. Anyway that was so much fun and it reminded me how cool it was to be a kid.
