Thy Geekdom Come

So...my monthly rent is around $500 + utilities...ridiculous for state-owned housing...

I got a job and my cash is rising steadily. My rent, however, goes up in large jumps. So I was about to be all caught up and bam...another month's payment due with another minimum balance. The next time I get paid will be after the next payment is due. If I'd had a job two weeks earlier, I'd be in the black...now, I'm looking at fines. :sadder:

stay strong, everything will work out if you trust in God.

Well. I just saw Merchant of Venice and my advice is don't take out a loan where a pound of your flesh is used as collateral. Although you could just go and marry a rich heiress like the main character.

Starting to look like a good option.

We had someone offer us about a $50 tip yesterday...but no, we're not allowed to take those.

If you call the credit card company and explain the situation and give them a date that you will have the payment to them, they will usually let the late payment go. They're pretty flexible with fees if they know that their money is coming. I've done this before. :)

It's not a credit card company. It's the State of Nebraska.

Those Nebraskians <_<
I will definitely keep you in my prayers. I know how it is to be money tight. Looks like I will be eating Ramen all year next year if even that :(
