ForHimAlone
My ears are super-sensitive the entire plane ride, and I'm always in a lot of pain. If you think you're going to have any ear problems, buy EarPlanes. They're amazing.. they help to equalize the pressure to give your ears more comfort. They really do work. I'd definitely recommend some of those. You can buy them at any airport.

Thanks. Eddie [/quote] Yep Eddie... if the plane crashes, you'll probably die.

Philippe
planes are amazingly safe. Many more people die driving then they do flying there is nothing to be nervous about. I fly all the time and nothing has ever happened
BeenaBobba
Here are some tips: --Try to get a good night's sleep the night before. I don't know about anyone else, but I have a really hard time sleeping on planes. --It's always good to drink lots of water during the flight, as it tends to be a bit dry on airplanes. --Depending on how long your flight is, it can get pretty boring sitting on a plane for hours at a time. That said, bring books, music, cards, and whatever else entertains you. --During the flight, be sure to get up a few times to stretch your legs. This will help with the boredom, but it'll also keep the flood flowing through your legs. --If you're prone to motion sickness, you might want to look into taking some medicine with you just in case. --If you feel a bit sick, eat or drink anything with ginger in it. That'll settle your stomach a bit. --If your ears pop, chew gum. --Sit near the window! You can see lots of cool things!
Mickey's_Girl
Don't bring scissors of any kind (I had manicure scissors in a carry-on bag--accidentally!--and had to throw them away). All the tips about ears and not wearing metal are good. EARLY is good. The necessities-in-carry-on-bag thing is BRILLIANT! Water. I always bring a bottle of water in my carry-on bag, because it gets dry on planes. Don't wear anything really tight; depending on the length of the flight, you might retain some water, and tight stuff is uncomfortable. DRAMAMINE! If you have any tendency to motion sickness, Dramamine is vital. The nice thing about it is, it works even if you're already sick. It can make you sleepy, though, but it's worth it. voiciblanche
If you're gonna buy anything, like gum or water, etc, buy it beforehand. Stores at the airport are ridiculous with their prices.

OOOH THAT REMINDS ME. if you're a smoker buy some nicorette or a patch or something. most airports nowadays don't have smoking area. some of the bars do. Ash Wednesday
Drink lots of water and moisturize your skin with lotion. Also make a point of taking vitamins or other things to boost your immune system because plane air is nasty. If it's an international flight bring melatonin. Also, you can get an adapter for headphones at Radio shack that makes the one prong headphone jack to the 2 prong that is on the plane, that way you don't have to buy a 2nd pair of headphones. "EarPlanes" hehehe! that is such a cute brand name hehehehehehe....... EarPlanes... hehehehehe.....
