I gotta tell you, this reporter that wrote the story about desecration of the Koran needs to be whipped. All for a "good" scoop he risked peoples lives (some have died and more will) and increased the potential for World War III considerably if you ask me. Now the New York Times is retracting it? Do you suppose the Moslems will say, oh, okay, no problem? Not likely.

STUPID

I saw the interviews in Afghanistan, the muslims think the US government is behind the retraction. They're still pissed as hornets. Then again, I'm not surprised by this at all - it's the liberal media for you.

Yeah, I heard about this last night. Unbelievable. Ok, well....not really considering the source, but it's insane. Personally, I think the person who wrote the story should be charged with a crime. Their "scoop" lead to the deaths of about 15 people and 200 have been injured and their story is completly to blame. If they didn't have any real proof and they went ahead with the story and people died, that's murder in my book. Probably not legally, but it should be. This person at the least needs to lose their job. Dan Rather, anyone?

Another aspect of this. How much easier does it make for radicals to recruit Moslems in this country for terrirst activity?

Yup – our liberal media has been very irresponsible and slanted to a dangerous degree
Now these liberal outlets will hopefully begin to be called to task

God Conquers

Way to kill 16 peole Newsweek.

Bravo.

Newsweek Guy 1:"Let's damage the US government, which protects us and allows us to continue publishing!"

Newsweek Guy 2:"Good idea! I know, let's make up a ridiculous story about the military desecrating a sacred book... one that's sacred to muslims, already angry at us!"

Newsweek Guy 1:"NICE! No one could possibly get hurt by us infuriating an entire religion!"

Voice of Reason: "In those areas of the world where muslims dominate numerically and already persecute Christians won't there be a violent and terrible backlash against innocents?"

Newsweek Guys: "?"

"Shut up, this will hurt Bush, not innocent people."

The Moslems are saying that George Bush forced Newsweek to retract. They deny it. That should settle the issue. As for firing anybody, they call it an honest mistake. Ya right.

i especially love all the pics of little ten year old boys holding signs saying, "Americans: the real terrorists" or "America, watch out." This dude has caused sooo many problems.

I believe it's time we start sending the media a message.

The way we do that is by protesting to the advertisers in their magazines and who place ads on their news shows... Then, the media will focus more on getting it right.

God Bless,
