ForHimAlone
I was just confirmed by Bishop Listecki a few weeks ago! His homily was awesome! He was definitely worth the long wait for a new bishop. I'm glad you had such a beautiful Confirmation. Blessed be the Holy Spirit! Did Bishop Listecki give you a rosary, too?
Fidei Defensor
Did Bishop Listecki give you a rosary, too?
Yup Bishop: "Does anyone know why i am giving you these rosaries?" Someone: "So we pray more?" Bishop: "Well, yes. But more so i can buy your affection!" ForHimAlone
Yeah, he said the same to us! I didn't mind getting the rosary, though -absolutely beautiful! Don't you just love Bishop Listecki?! I am so excited about the future of our diocese! Another Bishop Listecki joke: A middle-aged man approached Saint Peter at the gates of heaven. Saint Peter looked him over and checked his book. "Well," Saint Peter said, "You've never done anything really wrong, but you've never done anything really good, either." The man replied, "Oh, but I have done one thing! I was walking to my car, and I saw a woman being mugged across the street by a gang. I went over to them and told them that if they didn't leave her alone, they would have to deal with me." Saint Peter replied, "That is wonderful! But I don't have that on record. When did that happen?" The man looked at his watch. "About five minutes ago." Fidei Defensor
Here is another joke he told us - "So, for my confirmation name I picked Lawrence. You would think that i picked that because he was some hero or a great martyr. Nope. I got it because my Father's name was Lawrence, and my grandfather, and my great grandfather.. and you get the picture. And I pondering one day what my initials would be with that name. Well my first name is Jerome, my middle name is Edward, and my last is Listecki. With the addition of Lawrence, that makes it J-E-L-L and heck add an O. Jello. How nice. But you know, my mother always wanted to name me Harry. So that would have made me H-E-L-L. But you know, thats not a very good name for a bishop, now is it?"
