Hello:

When I was in high school, I used to draw and paint. I even competed in art contests, and one time I came in neck and neck for first prize... the prize was a full ride to that college's art program. I had told my teacher before that I didn't want to be a suffering artist, and he relayed the message to the judges, and that was the deciding factor.

Anyway, I got sick, and I ended up taking a medicine that made me lose my hand eye coordination. Not only that, it made me hypoglycemic. I got so sick a couple weeks ago that I went home confused and disoriented, wondering what was wrong with me. And for as long as I was on that medicine, I haven't been able to draw.

Well, I asked my doctor to put me on a different medicine, and he agreed.

I've never felt better! The fog has lifted, my handwriting has improved, and I can draw again! Today in a fit of pure joy I began to draw a picture of my coworker. It's been 8 years.

And the picture looks good so far. :D

Soooo, soon I'm going to buy paints. I'm going to paint a picture of Saint Therese. :D

Pray prayers of thanksgiving for me. I am!

This year, the Feast of the Annuciation fell on Good Friday, just as it had on the first Good Friday. Well, Sunday, Pentecost lands on the Feast of St. Dymphna, and on Trinity Sunday, it's the Feast of St. Rita, the patroness of the lonely.

I posted this in another forum as an act of praise for the intercession of St. Dymphna:
How can someone who was once so frail, be my champion? How can someone who was beheaded at the behest of demons, terrify my own personal demons?

Jesus died for me and for everyone, so that sins may be forgiven, and so that the Gates of Heaven would be opened to us. Saint Dymphna died in an act of Perfect Love for Jesus, but not for him only. She died for me through Jesus. St. Dymphna died in an Act of Love for me. For my cause.

We are not orphans :D
This is the picture I started drawing. It had to mess with the sharpness because the pencil marks were too faint.

Well...this is just day 1. I'll get better! :P

the grids in the background are something on the other side of the paper. I drew that freehand. I've only been off the meds for 1 day. :D
