SarahB
I'd like to add another prayer intention....one for those who struggle with homosexuality and who have the courage to turn to Jesus in helping them deal with it and who remain faithful to the Church. I pray that they'll continue to have the courage to stand up for the truth and be shining examples to those who don't. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, Blessed art thou amongst women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, Now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN

MichaelFilo
Nice Arabic. Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus. Sancta Maria, Mater dei, Ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen. Honestly folks, lets get something straight here. They are PROFANING and commiting a SACRELIGIOUS act. Rightous anger is called for. I think you guys should get acquanted with Maccabbees(sp?). I'm SURE Ironmonk is. That is possibly the best example of how to treat someone who profanes the Lord. bookwyrm
If anyone dared even show up at our parish in a rainbow sash - he'd be dead! (I kid you not! - and I mean this in a good way about my parish!)
Yeah. Mine too.

ironmonk
I confronted him about it and told him what he was doing was against the GIRM and he said, "Yes, it is."
Have you taken it to your Bishop? I like to email the Bishop, copy the Vatican with the email, and call the Bishop on things like that... and pray. God Bless, ironmonk
Didacus
I still say, choose your battles, pick your fights. For them to be met with any form of violence or violent threat is precisely their goals. Look at little further, see the bigger picture. This fight will not be won by any single confrontation. Yes, I am agnry. Yes I am apauled. Yes, it is wrong of them to come to church and force themselves upon our beliefs. I wonder if the law might give some relief. What if the church was to press trespassing charges on these people? After all, i bet the vast majority of them are not baptised, and obviously seek obstruction of church business. I am certain a clever lawyer could come up with something. No greater geniuses than the geniuses who fool themselves.
Melchisedec
Gays wanting to be accepted by the catholic church is a foolish notion. Why do you want to be with those who see you as an abomination.
cmotherofpirl
There are many Catholics who happen to have same sex attraction. Their orientation is not a sin its a disorder. Any sex outside of marriage is the sin. Love the sinner, hate the sin, no matter what orientation they have.
