GAYS TO PROTEST AT MASS

On May 15, Pentecost Sunday, a group of radical gay activists plan to enter various Catholic churches across the nation during Mass to stage a protest. The group, Rainbow Sash, has done this in the past and is planning to do so again this Sunday.

They have instructed their members to put the rainbow sash over their left shoulder and pin it to their right hip while the priest is processing to the altar. They are then told to go to Holy Communion and, if refused, to return to their seats in the pew and stand while everyone else is kneeling. The sash, they readily admit, is worn as a symbol of protest against the teachings of the Catholic Church on sexuality.

Catholic League president William Donohue commented as follows:

“Last year, Cardinal McCarrick of Washington, D.C. and Cardinal George of Chicago banned Rainbow Sash members from receiving the Eucharist. Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles, Archbishop Flynn of St. Paul and Minneapolis and Bishop Clark of Rochester, New York did not ban them. This year Archbishop Flynn has told Rainbow Sash that they will be banned. He explicitly said that ‘the Vatican has communicated to me that it does indeed consider the wearing of the Rainbow Sash during reception of Communion to be unacceptable, a directive I believe all Bishops will adhere to.’

“This year, Rainbow Sash has upped the ante. In its May 2 press release, it said that the purpose of their presence is to ‘counter the lies that Pope Benedict XVI is promoting about our community’; it also said that to many gays and lesbians the new pope is an ‘aggressive homophobe.’

“By calling the pope a liar and a homophobe, Rainbow Sash has finally taken off its mask. We look for them to get what they want—to be denied Communion. We also hope the cops are standing by. To exploit the Mass for political purposes is obscene, but it is what we have come to expect from the likes of Rainbow Sash.”

 This is getting so rediculous. I mean.....it's one thing to not agree with what the Church teaches. It's another to openly slander and bash the Holy Father.
It's just a shame that not all the Bishops are going to listen to what Rome has to say. I think any Bishop who says it's ok for these people to recieve Communion should be removed from their post immediately. *coughCardinalMahoneycough*

CatholicAndFanatical

Get ready for a Crusade!

We need the Knights of Columbus to stand next to the Priest during communion and stand up for Christ. Because at some parishs the Bishop and Priest are failing too.

Why dont these people just go to the nearest protestant church and get it over with? Why bother us with their junk.

You know....I wish there was some kind of sash for those of us who stand up for the Church to wear on Sunday. Heck....I have a sewing machine....I should come up with something. <_<

in some america, far too many bishops and priests have a false interpretation of love and charity. They somehow think the two words mean allowing heterodoxy and evil .

What sick and twisted man would give Communion to a homosexual who prides in his obscene and disgusting acts. What sort of man can say he believes in the Real Presence if he is willing to profane Him by placing Him within the soul that has rejected Him. All I can ask now is, Heaven, where is your sword of Justice?

God bless,
Mikey

Well....we know that the Church has been infiltrated by Satan and the demons....and that they influence those at the highest level. It really isn't such a surprise....just a disappointment.

We must pray for all those who are afflicted with homosexual desires, that by the power of God's grace they may be released from this terrible disorder.

I don't think I will see any rainbow sashes at mass here. Which is a very good thing, because I think my husband would physically remove such people from the church...

I find it appauling that they can bash the Pope as they do adn get away with it. If any of us would something of the sort, they would be crying bloody murder!

It is not enough to have our own Sash, we need to wear the sash and go to their gatherings in peaceful protest of thier views. And if they don't let us sit with them, we tell the media how racist they are for condenming others for the sake of their views.

i think that would drive home a point at their level.

forget wearing our own sashes, lets just have bishops and priests who stand up to direct attacks on our Mother Church!

The sad thing is they will fight until death but will never see the changes they seek.
