scardella
If there is no ultimate meaning to what we do, then why bother arguing that with believers? What do believers have to gain if they found out that life is meaningless? Why not let them remain blissfully ignorant?
Semalsia
I don't know about any other, but I at least am not arguing for anybody's gain.
Brother Adam
What is interesting is that by the very fact that we are here and contemplate ourselves and understand that we have a purpose (we strive towards purpose and goals) already makes us greater than what has created us if you believe there is no god but we exist by random chance. Even if life came about by random chance (already an impossibility), life never would have evolved into a rational creature that can say "I think therefore I am".
