Gal. 5:22,23
St. Paul as well? He said "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal." Another question: What is the difference between being slain in the Spirit and going into ecstasy? Sounds like semantics to me. I have read St. Faustina's diary and her experiences sound very much like what charismatics would call being slain in the Spirit.

[/quote] No, I am Catholic. I have several good friends who are Protestant though. I hold an immense respect for them and their religious beliefs as they do for mine. But, ecstasy is a type of advanced contemplative prayer, generally only experienced by people who have worked their way through the earlier stages: the prayer of quiet, the prayer of union, and so on. A charismatic meeting would be, I think, not a very good place for beginning contemplative prayer. Doesn't seem all that likely that someone would reach such an advanced stage there. But God gives as He wills, so I can't dismiss it outright.

I was an independant fundamental baptist until 7 months ago. You don't seem to realize the immense damage the Protestant heresy has done to the Body of Christ. Their worship is no more 'biblical' than any other heresy. They use the Bible to justify some of the things they do. "Judas hung himself" "Go and do the same" Both are straight from scripture.
