shelly_freak
Jehova's witnesses. Man it was funny stuff. I was still in my pjs watching cartoons when they rang the door bell. I figured heck with it, I don't care what I look like and went and opened the door. So they start telling me about Jesus and blah blah blah and then she starts going at the bible and asks me "are you familiar with the scriptures?" and of course I reply yes I am, I went to catholic school for eight years. Well that changed the whole coversation. She was like oh well what religion are you? Catholic, duh! Then she quickly said her goodbyes and was gone, leaving me with a good laugh and a few pamphlets (so I can find Jesus). The funny part is if I hadn't been standing there in plaid shorts and a giant tie-dye shirt I totally woulda been like oh well let me show YOU the truth, the catholic church. But she did say she was going to come back so I've gotta be ready. Also she asked me how old I was, she was supprised I was 19, she thought I was young, I don't know how young but I sure am sick of people thinking I'm like jr high/freshman. Moral of the story: you can always scare away a Jehova's witness with plaid shorts and 8 years of catholic school
ForHimAlone
I've never experienced a call from a Jehovah's Witness, but I have heard that they do provide quite a bit of humor.

MissScripture
A friend of my family, who is a youth minister and taught religion at my highschool for several years was visited by them once. He got into an argument and tried to give them the book "Surprised By Truth" They said that they weren't allowed to take things when they were out visiting, but if he came to visit them they would take it. So he asked where they lived. They refused to tell him and left.

Thy Geekdom Come
My friends had some Mormons stop by last week. This is the house of my friend who's going to Steubenville with me, who's a theological genius, and his roommate, who was just brought into the Church and is well catechized...they both rent from a Catholic and all three of them are Newmanites (two of them are knights). So yeah...it was funny, because the Mormons actually got invited back. Except that when they came back, they had the first guy's girlfriend (a Bible study leader), another convert, and me. It was enjoyable. There was no debate...just discussion...but it was kinda funny to see their reactions to Catholic answers.

shelly_freak
I cant stand when they start quoting the bible all over the place. Or even better when they open it up and find the one passage they're looking for in like 2 seconds flat with no post its or anything. All I can help thinking is so do you actually go out and do good in the world or sit around memorzing the bible and then bugging people? Just tell them you're a dedicated catholic and you'll see them running in no time.
