Bruce S
NUMBER 1 "Catholics believe things hard to swallow: celibate priests, no pre-marital sex, no divorce, no artificial birth control and so on."
They just don't do what they believe. Sorry. In real life Catholics have the same statistics for not doing these stated things that Protestans do. Words are words, they are not reality.
Just because there are lapsed Catholics does not change what the Church stands for. The fact that some people claim to be Catholic and do not follow specific church teachings is irrelevant. The fact is that they SHOULD do what the Church says. Everyone should. The point is that some Protestant religions actually condone the use of birth control, etc. God bless. EcceNovaFacioOmni
Didn't Luther's adversary compose his 95-Anti-Thesis shortly after Luther posted them?
hopeful1
I think if anyone on the christian leadership committee attacks me for being catholic, i think i'm going to take Luther's advice and tact this to the door at the next meeting. Then, if they desire to remain in ignorance, i shall start my own club to meet the needs of catholics on the campus.... but in case that never happens ( and hopefully it won't) I'm all for peace! Words are words huh, I guess that's why I'm Roman Catholic and your not? I take the word of Our Lord as Truth and the Teaching of The Catholic Church as Truth. "They are not a reality?" It's like living in a dream world with that kind of statement. And the statement "They just don't do what they believe?" huh lol "Faith without works is dead" brother! "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit nor can a bad tree bear good fruit." Man oh man???? (think about it) God Bless brother, Jason
