Communion and Liberation

I love CL! Our group was having the hardest time getting started this semester because only two of us would come to school of community at a time. After Don Gius' death, our priest at the Newman Center offered a Mass for him, and we've had a solid core of 6 or 7 each week since then.

I'm moving back home on Monday, and I am going to start CL out by me. There is a group in the city of St. Louis, but it's 45 minutes away, so I am going to bring it to the suburbs.

There's just something about the people in the movement that is very attractive. When I see the people in the Chicago community or Albacete, its encouraging to see other people who are so totally normal who are so totally in love with God in a very real, profound way.

I'm part of the Evansville, IN community. CL has been an education for me. It has helped me to open my eyes to the truth of Christ. As I learn how to open my eyes, I see beauty and goodness in new ways everyday. It's only through this companionship that I can look at my life and see beauty, and recognize that that beauty is Christ.

I was unaware that they were in Chicago. I'm surprised that people I know in the Opus Dei and Cantius crowd hadn't mentioned anything about them.....

There's a decent sized group, maybe 30 people I'd say with 4 or so SofCs.

Beautiful!

This movement moves me! I have a desire for life, to really live life, like never before and it comes from an authentic encounter with Christ through CL.

Don Gius is exploding!

BLAZEr, I take that Being or Nothingness is your blog. If so, I'm told that you know Vince B. Vince's is in my SofC.

Heck yeah I know Vince! He and I were in the seminary together and I left a few years before him, we went our seperate ways, but I was surprised like heck to see him at the National Diakonia for CL in Minneapolis . . . somehow, that friendship that began in the Seminary, God saw fit to continue through the Movement. . .
