Myles Domini
Listen to that crowd... What a beautiful homily. God be praised. We have a mission statement for the New Evangelisation. My Catholic confidence is sky rocketing at present. Thank Heavens I truly believe we're going to win...

luciana
Pater noster, qui es in caelis: sanctificetur nomen tuum; adveniat regnum tuum; fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo, et in terra. Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie; et dimitte nobis debita nostra, sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris; et ne nos inducas in tentationem; sed libera nos a malo. luciana
That was wonderful. Now, I need to get some more sleep before going to mass at noon.
Guest Eremite
I missed it. I really wanted to watch it too. Why do they have to be on so early. I need my beauty sleep. I hope EWTN replays it.
Has anyone seen his coat-of-arms yet?
I haven't seen it, but I read that his old coat of arms had a bear on it, recalling the story of some Saint who came across a bear who ate his writings or something, and then the Saint scolded the bear, and the bear carried him to where he was going. Ratzinger considered himself the bear, apparantly. He may keep the same one. Edited April 24, 2005 by Eremite

BurkeFan
I haven't seen it, but I read that his old coat of arms had a bear on it, recalling the story of some Saint who came across a bear who ate his writings or something, and then the Saint scolded the bear, and the bear carried him to where he was going. Ratzinger considered himself the bear, apparantly. He may keep the same one.
Well, I've heard from reputable sources (namely, Archbishop Burke's homily last night at the Mass for the Holy Father) that this bear would be on the papal coat of arms. I could have misheard, but I'm pretty sure it'll be there.
