luciana
Very Thank you, Cam, I definitely bookmarked it. When I have more time, I'm going to be wandering through their articles.
luciana
For instance, I heard that someone wrote a ballet about Beren and Luthien. Now that's cool... Yeah, it's called the Lay of Luthien.
One of my favorite parts of non-trilogy stuff so far. Trivia: J. R> R. Tolkien had Luthien inscribed on his wife's tombstone, and Beren on his. Antonius
Yeah, thanks, Cam. The two best Tolkien sites on the net are The Encycolpedia of Arda and of course, my favorite, TheOneRing.net. It's a huge fansite, and the Green Books staff are really intelligent. Think our Catholic Apologetics board bigshots, but these are Tolkien scholars. Wowies. azaelia
I've read the Silmarillion 3+ times.
BullnaChinaShop
I"ve read it several times. I like it because after you read it and understand the main story line and how the different stories are interconnected, you can go back and read your favorite story because it is a collection of short stories that tell a larger tale. Carnanc
I really need to read this again. Certainly my favorite book by Tolkien.
Socrates
I'm a big LOTR/Tolkien fan, but have never been able to get all the way through the Silmarillion. I guess made-up mythology just doesn't interest me that much. Edited April 26, 2005 by Socrates
