Hi whoever may answer this although I bet it is Cam,

I recently began to receive Communion kneeling after comming to the conclusion that is the most proper way to show the most proper reverence to the Blessed Sacrament. This is all fine and good, but I was rejected the Precious Blood by a priest for kneeling (note the priest administering the Blood (and he was the celebrant of the Mass(see the liturgical abuse?))). I got up and received, but now I'm in a tight spot. Should I not kneel while receiving when he is around and do it when he isn't, should I give up completely at kneeling because he is the authority there, or is there another option (the one being writing a letter with a little info for him about the GIRM and indults and such)?

Your input is much appreciated.

God bless,
Cam Jr.

First off, WAY TO GO MIKEY!!!!!!

Secondly, he should not have denied you Holy Communion. That is incorrect....and yes, I see the abuse. It is one.

I would put your "ducks in a row" as it were, get your information together and ask for a meeting with Father. If he doesn't wish to meet with you, go to confession (catch my drift....). Old Skool trick of having a conversation with a priest when he doesn't want to with you....taught to me by a priest....ingenious, no?

You have every right to receive Holy Communion on your knees, and that would include the Precious Blood, if you so desire. I would also say this, you don't have to receive under both species. (Last resort)

Finally, if Father doesn't respond to you, I would write the Chancery and provide the proper documentation (ie. your "ducks").

Finally Mikey, don't stop kneeling. It is your right, if you decide to. It is the universal norm and it cannot be a reason to deny you.

Keep it up and do that thing you do. Kneel away brother.

Cam (Sr.)
